Two of my friends are not talking to eachother.

My roomate also my best friends, we known eachother for 6 years. he is going through a hard time and i don't know what todo.

My roomate had feeling for a girl (all three of us are friends) but when he told the girl about his fellings, he didn't get the answer that he had hoped They both are being cool about it but i know my roommate is not over it yet. I noticed he startd lessoning to sad songs and say things like he does not like his job and i don't see him laught much more eighter.

The girl is worried about him but didn't know what todo. I am planing on picking a day and to take him to the movies and have a drink with him later. I am gona try to talk to him but the problem is i don't know where to start.

I had never been a good lessoner and i think thats the reason why he is keeping everything inside him self. what should i do?

Please help me.

I think your friend is dealing with his interpretation of rejection compounded by a low self esteem. He needs to realize this happens a lot and just because one girl is not interested in him, does not mean others won't be. The girl would probably want to be his "friend" but feel awkward due to the circumstances. Take your friend out, and relate a similar experience of your own, to help him realize he is not the only one who has been dealt such a blow. Reassure him things are not as doom and gloom as they seem. Time to move on and look forward to better days ahead. They are just around the corner if you choose to look. Good Luck.

First of all you sound like a real good friend already. Maybe you could just let him know that you are here for him if he needs to talk. And to look on the brighter side. At least they are still friends and it could have been worse she could have said she never wanted to speak to him ever again. Just being there for him and comforting him is good on your part. It's better to be close friends than to be boyfriend/girlfriend and then break up and never be friends again. I'm not sure it that makes any sense but you could try it. Remind him time heals all wounds. I hope this helps. Best of Luck! :o)
