He's good, but he is no Bob Dylan, now THERE is a lyrical genius. Compare the best Eminem lyrics with any one of the 3 following Dylan songs.
Desolation Row
Visions of Johanna
Ballad of a Thin Man

Hello. Well, I think Eminem lyrics are great because he writes of true matters, and sometimes are painful lyrics, because he talks about drug-driven youth, street life, poverty, politics, etc. But if there is a lyrical genius, for me, it's Bernie Taupin. That's a genius!! Best regards!!

Mmm...yeah. Even though I'm not much into Rap anymore. I would have to say Em was the one person that brought me into this whole genre.

Em is a lyrical genius not only because he's white, his lyrics also have deep meanings. It's like watching a South Park episode, its both funny and meaningful. Its like you know you shouldn't listen to this crap, but yet you can't keep away.

HOWEVER, Em has proved that he's going on a downfall, the last 2 albums he released are terrible, compare to the first few albums. So yeah, he might be a lyrical genius before, but now Em is nothing, its just seems like he's not interesting at rapping anymore.

He IS a lyrical genius. Everyone else is comparing him to other artists who sing different genres of music. He is a lyrical RAP genius. There are alot of rappers out there and they rap about absolutely nothing. You can't even understand what they are saying. His lyrics make sense and that is why he is good.

you won't be in a position to truly rank rappers. it relatively is all opinion. however the only rapper who remains rapping that should beat slender might must be Nas. yet i might say that others ought to beat him while it includes lyrical content, like KRS-One and Immortal technique.

Em, has a very good flow and he can freestyle. One thing that I can say about him is that his music makes sense, unlike alot of this new crap. I wouldn't call him a genius though.

He has reinvigorated rap and has an ear for rhyme and metre, but lyrical genius? Nah.

hard to say, hes influences are Tupac, Biggie, Dre 3000 and Rakim. Its really hard to say being that these guys came b-4 him and he has a little bit of them all. Genius...no, brilliant...yes.

of course he is. he is one of the only or the best lyricst still alive. everyone is hating cause he be white. he can be one of the best rappers ever but no gives him credit cause he is white. he can slay anybody lyrically. he saved the rap game back when it when there were no good rappers around after biggie and tupac's death. Nas and Jay-z were around but they **** wasnt selling. shady's **** was the only **** that was selling. he even has even sold more records than tupac. with only four albums
