Is aeriation necessary?If I start with the service and discontinue after a couple of years will I be able to keep it up compared to all the liquid chemicals that they add?

You only need to aerate if you have heavy thatch, if so you should DE-thatch your lawn. It's not a good deal, depending on where you live you should only need to fertilize, and or weed kill a couple times a year and you should be able to keep up. Scotts and all others put down to many chemicals (rip off)

If you are looking for a lawn service, ask a neighbor whose lawn looks great. I'm sure they'll be happy to tell you who they use.

Well i use trugreen.by the time you buy all you need for a yard it come's out better to let them do it.As long as your getting it done for a low price.weed's is the big thing that they control best.no i never airate mine.i have plenty of moles to do that.good luck.

Personally, I think it's a big rip off. It's nothing you can't do yourself. The only reason to sign up is if you don't have the time to do it yourself, which is a good reason.

Scotts has always worked for me, and id recommend it.
