Strangest would have to be chocolate coated bumblebees. I mean, who thought that one up? They weren't bad. Used to be sold in the grocery case, wrapped in foil. This happened when I was 11, and I bought them myself. I'm really glad i did, cause I'll try any new, or unusual food i run across today. Some have become my favorites. (like sea urchin)
Thanks for the question. I hope others come up with something i haven't tried, yet.

the strangest thing I ever ate was grasshoppers in oaxca mexico. I could have tried magay worms too but I passed those up. It is traditional Oaxcan food.

Puffed wheat. I'd rather starve than eat that. It even tastes bitter with suger. Puffed wheat is the cheapest, most nastiest cereal you would ever find. My mom fed it to me as a kid and I have never forgotten it. I even used to cry when she put the bowl in front of me. It was that bad.

Tiny black crab legs in a papaya salad.... eaten with the shells on. The owner of the Thai restuarant tried to convince me I wouldn't like them, but I wouldn't listen to him and ordered them anyway. Very very salty...
