we changed to a school that is math and science geared...it is a college prep charter school of the public school system(which makes it free!)...they do alot of challenging and motivational things...especially competition
your child will do the best in whatever areas they are most interested in...find out what his likes are and go from there

Motivation stems from love. As long as the child knows you love, and you are proud of their accomplishments, and also applaud them for the fact they are trying and doing GOOD, they will acheive much more than you can imagine. If it seems hard to them, realize its just as hard for you.

The most important thing is to accept him and love him for who he is. Trying to impose your will on him or live vicariously through him will foster resentment and rebellion. It's alright to be a little pushy. But, lovingly nurturing his gifts is the best course of action.

look I am a child, so i say that you dont have to push him so hard, just tell him that you are not going to make him get all A's, that he should just try to do his best.

talk to him like a friend, not pushing parent... explain how he/she would benefit later... give some examples of succesful people..
