"Full Version"? Never heard of that game before. If you mean it the other way, You're into the illegal territory of Warez, approach at YOUR OWN RISK! Don't say I didn't warn you. You could end up paying $250000 for each downloaded game if the FBI catches you!

It depends on what type of games you want. There are a number of sites that have full version games that were designed from the get-go as on-line, downloadable games available to download. Yahoo is one of them. Real Arcade by RealNetworks is another. You can get versions of classic board games like Scrabble, puzzle games, arcade games & the like. Price is usually around $20/game and you can "try before you buy".

If you want to download (legally) full versions of retail games such as Neverwinter Nights, Civilization, etc. there are a number of sites where you can do that. One is Direct2Drive. Prices are usually the full retail price (e.g. $50 for Neverwinter Nights 2), but, as you said, you get the game a lot quicker. Broadband connection an absolute necessity,of course.
