My wife and I both work hard for a living and always pay our bills ,keep our kids, pets, house and everything else taken care of and paid for. We worry when we have bills to pay and always figure out a way to get them paid on time.On the other hand some people are not going to pay their bills and don't care .Whats funny is most of these people have very nice things, eat out every other meal, and never do without any extra ,when the time comes they just charge it or get the money some other way such as a cash advance. What I'm getting at is there a way to not worry if the bills ,taxes, insurance, etc all get paid for or should I just say who cares let someone else deal with it after I'm dead.

Your bills, your responsibility. U made a choice to live the way u do, so it is your responsibility to take care of the bills that come with it. Everyone has to pay them unless u can set up a tent somewhere on the beach or find a cave to live in and live like the cavemen did.

You have some good points, but what really matters in life is not the money per say. It's how you use it! Paying bills is a way of life, good for you, that the bills get paid on time! As long as you set time and $ aside for the pleasurable things in life. The people that do it all the time, that are in debt up to there eyeballs are not really happy. But they think money can buy it, therefore they keep at it. Money is grand, don't get me wrong, but it's not everything. I much rather spend my time at the beach, with a man who loves me, then jet setting with some rich guy that I can't bare to touch me. I'm getting a bit off track now, but I'm sure you get the idea. I've seen the best of both worlds and I can truly say money does not buy happiness. Mr. responsible is #1 in my book! As long as he's willing to treat me like a princess some of the time.

The only way to stay out of jail or away from living on a street is to pay the bills. Like someone said if you rob a bank it is OK. You may be able to pay the bills. But you could wind up in a jail.
Those who do not pay eventually lose their home or they probably find some money somewhere that they are not telling you such as inheritance.

well you only live once and you should have a good time while you are here. We make sure our bills are paid not always on time because we like to go and have some fun like people who do not care. You have to have some fun or you will go crazy. skip a bill and go to the movies with your family or just your wife go and get something to eat at a nice restaruant.Have fun with your family and you can still be resposible for your bills there is nothing wrong with being a little late.

Don't live to work but work to live. It's honorable t get all your bills paid on time. Consult someone to help you find small ways to cut back so you can put a little ahead for retirement. it'll be here sooner than you think. Just keep taking care of your family. That's the most important thing.

Have faith and then you will have less worry! I do not understand the worry, if you are both working and living within your means, and you have a budget. Stick to it you should be fine. And stop worrying about what others are doing. They are probably a basket case at home, they just do not share their fears with you. They probably go home lock the door and are afraid to answer the phone it may be a creditor looking for a payment. Keep doing what your doing and it will all work out in the end. Good luck and God bless.

For me, it's an issue of self respect. If I chose to live that way (i.e. by sponging off of others), I wouldn't/couldn't respect myself. I'm also a firm believer in the karmic payback and don't believe that people just "get away" with things and never have to pay the piper, in some form or another.

you worry about it because you aren't a deadbeat. I have a friend who ran up over $50,000 in credit card debt. She lives in low-income housing. She filed for bankruptcy and cleared it all up. Now she has 5 more cards that she is using. Hell I have good credit and can't even get a credit card. I pay my bills on time and I worry about it all the time to. I don't want to be like my friend.

Okay so I'm like you two are and my husband is the "other people" We have decided that we have talked to a few of the creditors and they were willing to tack on one payment to the end of our payoffs so that we can do one nice thing a month. Its works well and you know its going to be taken care of. (just one month more of paying then you thought.) As long as you talk to the people you owe then usually they will work with you.

Keep doing what you're doing, that's the only way. I two work paycheck to paycheck, but I was always set a little to the side to have a family night out dinner.
