So, if you answer this question with a negative then you get a thumbs down, and if you answer with a positive you get a thumbs up? It kind of plays right into what the movie was about no?
Do as I say and you will live. Continue to preach the word that you are the sun of God and you will be persecuted. Much like the premise of the move, it isn't right to judge people for what they believe but, we do anyway.
I honestly thought the movie was a soft gore, Hollywood glorification of facts put together to elicit the very same reaction that came across when the movie was released. Controversy, up starting, and emotion. Was it a good move? Did it enlighten and entertain? If The Passion of Christ was your first experience with the judgment and crucifixion of Jesus then you should really examine the bible before taking the word of Mel Gibson.
As for me I was very angry watching the movie. My anger was directed toward the director and the actors who played the Romans who beat Jesus, under the rule of Mel, These Romans were the most happy to inflict pain and punishment. It was sickening, upsetting, disgusting, and gaudy. I left the theater felling the most dissatisfied.
In my opinion the movie was nothing more then hype of over unnecessary controversy.

I saw it in the theatre when it first came out. I cried so hard that I was nearly sick. My husband and I had too of our kids with us. When the movie was over, no one in the theatre made a sound. Even when walking thru the lobby and in the parking lot. We drove home and I had to go to bed. I was emotionally exhausted. I have it on DVD but have not been able to watch it again.

I dont know why people cried during this film. It is a happy story just in cause you forgot. But it was a good movie, and I think it is underrated because it is a controversial film. I think Mel did a wonderful job and I hope this whole "JEW" incident in malibu wont ruin this film for future generations

I didn't think the movie was really all that good. However, I am happy to hear that it moved people and helps share the most important story ever. It is always good when we talk about Christ, discussing all that he did and does for us, and when we debate events in the bible.

it was not bad but way too much blood.
I never actually feel comfortable watching any movie with too much blood in it, although of course it makes the movie look closer to reality!

It was very moving, especially the scenes between Jesus and his mother, Mary. I also cried a lot and had puffy eyes for two days.
