Here's a list of options:
1. Find books on outing yourself. I go with "Outing Yourself" by Michelangelo Signorile (slightly outdated, but still quite useful).
2. If you get the chance, strike up a conversation about homosexuality not as a way to out yourself, but just casually so you can get a feel for your friend's opinion on the matter.
3. Go to http://www.student.com There's a great forum for gay/lesbian/bi youth.
