When you start dating should ask yourself why you are doing it. Be sure you know what you expect from the opposite sex. Talk to some older, savvy women about what to watch out for. I have heard stories about date rapes and such. Also people date for different reasons. Some just for friendship, some for mate searching, some for sex. If you spend a lot of time with someone who isn't looking for the same things you are you might end up disappointed. Probably better to start dating when you are mature. Some cultures don't do it at all.

Ok, this problem is faced by many people including myself. When I was eighteen, I didn't think I was ever going to get married. Then, when I was 20, I found this guy I had really enjoyed hanging out with in highschool. We had been really close friends and decided to take a spin on us dating. It worked out perfectly and we are engaged to be married in December. So, don't lose hope, u'll find that special guy someday. I feel special that I know that I only had to date once to find the one I love. Just keep hope alive.

Nope.
Just remember one thing for when you do start dating.
Only do what is comfortable for you, and only do it when you are good and ready.
Don't feel pressured into dating someone because they use guilt on you, or you feel you can't do any better. Date them because you really like them. If you date the first guy that comes along, then the guy you are supposed to be with (or the "perfect guy" )won't be able to hook up with you as you will be taken.
Don't feel pressured into having sex either. A guy's testicles (or wang) will not explode, turn blue, fall off or stop working if he doesn't get laid (if he is that pent up, he can go home and use his own hands on himself). If you are unsure about going that far, then keep your hands above his belt.

there isnt anything wrong with it. i didnt go on my first date until i was 20! my parents were VERY strict. But i have no regrets. I am 29 now and know the meaning of a real relationship because of it generally speaking, highschool relationships are somewhat superficial. be glad that you have the time to concentrate on what's important- graduating. good luck.

Well it take two for a couple. Think back at what kept you from dating in the past and try to change your ways.

No, it just means you haven't found the right person yet, or you're not ready for a boyfriend yet. You're only 18, enjoy being single.
