This computer is not on the internet. Virus isn't an issue. This occurred after connecting an Ipod via USB.

Try booting with the Operating System CD, it should give you a repair option. At least this way should should not loose your data, but might need to re-run the updates.

BSOD is hardware problems. But what was the last thing you were doing right before the screen. Hmm USB has IRQ's assigned and it could be conflicting with another device.

Will other devices work on your USB port on your computer. Try your Ipod on another computer and see if it does the same thing. If it does then you have a Ipod problem. If it doesnt then your pc has either a driver issue or IRQ resource conflict. Either of those will give you a blue screen.

what OS are you using? Sounds like a bad driver file or a corrupt system file.

If you've installed any new hardware or software, uninstall it, reboot and look for the latest versions of the software online. When you re-install it, make sure to disable your antivirus program and close any open programs running in the background.
