If we use the board coloured black we are told to call it a CHALKBOARD
but the board we write on with felt pens is not a felt pen board but a WHITE BOARD!!
Surely this is political correctness gone mad?

makes me laugh though they make the word 'black' sound as if its something bad by changing all this general desciption stuff, if its black its black simple as that !!!

Well it is a Chalkboard and a Blackboard. Some people are over sensitive to any mention of color reference in names. The White boards are actually more commonly referred to as Dry Erase boards, but hey, they are white and can be easily identified by that name as well.

Will it ever be wrong to call " A little black dress ", A little Black dress.? Seems to me, that the word " black "will be taken out of the English dictionary before long ,the things are going. We live in a very crazy world.

Makes you wonder how much longer before the word black is outlawed. Not so many years ago I used ni****r brown shoe polish , that's what was written on the tin. You should have seen the cobbler's face when I , in all innocence, asked for a tin of it. You would have thought we were in Cold war Russia.

Stop complaining, who cares what people call it. Black board or chalk board, it still serves its purpose either way. It really annoys me how some people complain about the most irrelevant things.
