Wasn't there a kid who died when her mother left her at the dentist? I saw that on the news a few weeks ago, the dentist was a terrible terrible man, I think he's in Jail now for murder

You'll be fine...it's all over relatively fast. The worst part is the shots - they give you a lot! But after the first one or two you don't feel the rest, and they do their job well. You won't feel a thing, and the teeth come out easier than you think. There will be a lot of pulling and pressure, and wiggling back in forth and maybe some unpleasant sounds, but it will not hurt and it will be over soon. Then you get to go home and take Vicodin (which will make you feel fantastic) and watch movies. Make sure someone is there to baby you for awhile.
Just try to relax, it will turn out just fine. I had all 4 out as well, two were not even at the surface yet, and I was fine afterwards and the next day. Also, make sure you take good care with your "sockets", they can become "dry sockets" and that hurts I hear. But if you're good at leaving them alone, and not drinking through straws and are taking it easy, you'll be fine!
Good luck!

I don't get it. People always say how bad wisdom teeth hurt and all that. I had 4 removed at one time and all I needed was 800mg of ibuprofen. The meds they have today make going through this a lot better than in the 1950's. It's no walk in the park but it is really not that bad. When I had mine done and realized I worried all that time for nothing I felt like a fool. It's really not that bad. You will be okay. Best of luck.

There shouldn't be any pain! My dentist uses medication to put me to sleep while he pulls the teeth! I had my jaw reconstructed from an abscess and the same deal! Never felt anything and after wards only a couple days of mild soreness. I would definitely talk to my dentist and if he doesn't use medication I would seek treatment elsewhere! I had those old guys pull my teeth with just a shot of Novocaine in the gum and never again! When there is a better method without pain, that's the ONLY route I go!

Hi i had my wisdom teeth out in may - i had all four out and two others from the front of my mouth which were causing problems.
I went under a general anaesthetic, i was under for about 30 minutes, i dont really remember anything, they numb your mouth with a local anaestetic aswell so when you wake up (and for about 16 hours) you dont feel anything.
They recommend you go home to bed - do this it's the best sleep ever! You will wake up with blood on you pillow this really freaked me out but realistically it's the scariest thing! (and not that bad) you will be sore for a week kind of a bruised feeling, you have to wash out your mouth after you eat, you can only eat very soft foods like soup and yoghurt so stock up! i would recommend taking a herb called arnica, it reduces bruising, some people get bruising on their face/neck,(a friend looked like she had two black eyes!!) i didn't get any at all and i attribute this to amazing arnica! Your going to be nervous before any operation and really it's not that bad, the fear that i had beforehand was way worse than the actual operation! the recommend you stay in bed for a week so enjoy the rest, get lots of dvd's and invite your friends over, you will always hear horror stories but in my experience these are always from people trying to freak you out!!!! Dont worry, your doctor knows what is best for you and it will all be worth it in the end - Get well soon!!!

I was out cold for the whole thing. Afterward I was never really in any pain. It was more just uncomfortable the first day after but that was because i had all this gauze in my mouth. It wasn't a bad experience at all. Don'e be nervous; you'll be fine.

I got put to sleep for all 4, and it isn't the worst pain in the world. But I would stock up on non-prescription medicine, and i'm sure they'll prescribe you some very good ones to. DO NOT EAT RICE
