I was watching one of those "help" shoes on the Style network a while back and they said you have to find high heels that are balanced. When you try them on, pay attention to your weight distribution. If they put all your weight on your toes or heels, they're no good. If you feel the weight evenly, you know they're good shoes that you'll be able to wear.
I'm sorry to report that so far I have not found a single pair that was "balanced", but I haven't shopped around very much yet. I'm sure I'll have to shell out a bit more for them if I find a pair but then it might be worth it...instead of buying 10 pairs that I never wear because they hurt my feet.
You may want to try searching the Style network page to see if you can find the print up of that show. Sorry but I don't remember which show it was on.

practise it.
when i was twelve, im dyin to be like a mature gurl.
so i know i have to wear high heels.
my mom dun have time to teach me da proper way to wear it.
so i secretly buy one and wear it almost 12 hours a day while my parents are out to work.
now, im proud to say that i love high-heels..
practise makes perfection.
