It seems like everytime Bush's popularity drops into the basement - some new terrorist is captured, or killed. Now the election is only hours away, and suddenly Hussein's trial is over. And with the death penalty yet.

Here is the main problem and it worries me sick.
It is horrible timing for our toops. Our 4th Infantry Division comes home soon. There will be a blow up in Iraq over the conviction of Sadam. It will bring out all the crazies and terrorists who use him as their fight against the USA. He is there scapgoat. Because he is convicted they can rally Iraqis to plot terror in Iraq and who knows where.
Our troops will be most vunerable coming home soon. And the troops that are going over are leaving now.

Bad timing to say the least. Bush should have thought about the safety of the troops and gotten them to delay the outcome until January.

Too much emphasis is being given this coincidence esp.since Iraq is not a American Puppet-far from it esp since just recently it voiced clear objections (The Iraqi Gov officials were not placed into these ruling positions by the Bush Administration but elected by the Iraqi people) to the Bush Administration giving it a timeline to establish order. The trial of Sadaam followed its natural course and there was no rush to have the end -the sentencing phase coincide with any other occurence esp American. The intention of America to have a ally in Iraq favorable to it and generous with its oil to America is very questionable and totally dependent on what course the Iraqi people decide to take.

i'm basically concern with reference to the destiny repercusssions on different loonies like Saddam. what form of message does this deliver to Kim Jong ll or the Iranian President? Do you think of they are going to be scared or understanding that they are going to be killed anyhow, they're going to combat to the dying. Kim Jong ll is familiar with that he would be placed to dying if seize, he in all probability might launch each and every of the nukes North Korea has until eventually now giving up, ditto for the Iranian government. once you thinkg approximately that, you're able to be able to understand there's no longer a lot to have fun.

It should have happened a decade ago when Saddam started breaking all the conditions of First Gulf War Armistice. Instead, through our good "intentions" we gave him the "Food for Oil" with which he bribed the French, Germans, Russians and the rest of the UN.

I think the Iraqi Courts actually timed it so the furor over Man-Bear-Pig would finally die down...

There are no coincidences in an election year. The price of gas didn't magically come down to it's lowest in a year (even though the spot market prices went up). Wal-mart didn't just come up with a plan to reduce the cost of prescriptions for pensioners at a time when the new Medicare program was being criticised; and Tom Foley didn't suddenly become a problem by accident.

Both sides use their influence and wealth to get things to happen at the right time for their purposes.

Not to the Kurds, I'm sure they thought it was 20 years to late. Any good news is a coincident to the left and the bad news we are being bombarded by on CNN,CBS,ABC and NBC for the past 8 months wouldn't have anything to do with the elections would it.

It was, however the date of his sentencing was predetermined some time ago. But it's neither here nor there.
No one planned on the insurgency turning into a civil war between the iraqi sunnis and shiites.
God bless our soldiers who have to deal with the madness over there.

Never liked Bush, so I could care less about him, plus he's not running for President. As for Saddam let him swing!!!
I hope next time it's Bin Laden.

Just as coincidental that the Foley and Haggard stories came out when they did.

Sure.
The terrorists decided to lay-off the kidnapping and murdering of the prosecutors and judges until after our elections.
You can't be serious
