Real life problem. Can you solve this?

Question

Bob, Carl, and Joe were playing poker for a dollar a game. They didn't have money on them so they kept count. First round, Bob won two dollars, a dollar each from Carl and Joe. Second round, Bob won again which totals 4 dollars. Third round, Carl won. So it's 2wins for Bob, 1win for Carl, and 0win for Joe. Fourth round, Joe won. How much money does Joe owe Bob and Carl? My friends and I had an argument about this, who can help solve this?

Joe owes Bob $1 and none to Carl. Carl owes $1 to Bob.

Carl owes Bob $1. Joe owes Bob $1.

What was there to argue about?

Bob had one more win than the others, thus they each owe him a dollar.

If you assume that a winner gets one dollar from both losers, you can put that in a table thusly (each winner gets +2, each loser gets -1 each round):

round ------------- Bob -- Carl -- Joe
1 Bob wins ------ +2 --- -1 --- -1
2 Bob wins ------ +4 --- -2 --- -2
3 Carl wins ------ +3 --- 0 --- -3
4 Joe wins ------ +2 --- -1 --- -1

So, at the end of the 4th round, both Carl and Joe owe Bob one dollar each.

First round: BOB (Joe ows $1) $1
Second round: BOB (Again, Joes owes $1) $2
Third round :CARL (Joe loses $1) $1
Fourth round: JOE (Joe gains $2)
He owed $2 to Bob and $1 to Carl befor Round 4.
After round four, Bob and Carl each owe him $1
As Joe owed $2 earlier, he only needs to give $1 to Bob now.
He owed Carl $1 earlier, so his debt with Carl is clear.

He owes $1 to Bob and $0.00 to Carl

It just depends on how much Carl won in the 3rd round and how much Joe won in the 4th round if there is no number then you cant get a pretty good accurate answer.

Joe owes Bob 2 dollars but doesn't owe Carl anything.
I'm not sure if that's right though...
