Agreed! Think, every person who has had a very high level of knowledge, also obtained great power over the people. Let's take confucious for an example; he was a great philosopher and because he was so intelligent, he created a domestic way of life for the chinese which lasted 200 years. Because of his knowledge, he had so much power to change the culture of a whole country!

I agree that knowledge is power. Think of all those poor, uneducated people who cannot better themselves because they don't know how so they stay stuck.

Unfortunately, those who are in power, let's say the politicians, can easily pull the wool over our eyes because we don't know what they know.

I'd rather be knowledgeable but not in power, than be powerful and have no knowledge.

But you have to have knowledge to use power, otherwise it isn't power at all, just mindless force. I agree that knowledge or information is power - and that the way you use that information is what defines you as a person.

The more information or power a person has, the more likely they are to be tempted to abuse that power.

To quote one of my old favorites, "With great power comes great responsibility."

Agree. Amen and that just changed my life. If you have Knowledge about something it gives u power. If u have power like president. Bush it doesn't neccesarily mean you have knowledge.
