Have you actually read the story? its right there, plain as the nose on your face. If you've read it, go look up some of the properties of the grail if you don't know what they are.
And Isis, thats not a grail allegory, its part of the prologue. Gawain is not pure. Read about when its the Green Knight's turn.

He is the one who can find the Grail because he is a perfectly pure human being. Like Jesus, he is without sin. And only the pure may "see" God and live.
