Killing people who kill people to show that killing people is wrong is nonsense.
Killing Saddam is a show, pure & simple.
Not killing him denies him martyr status & denies him the stage & audience that even the trial could not keep him from. Solitary confinement with no chance of parole.

I don't. Capital punishment is just institutionalized murder, anyway, and this case smacks of political showmanship in particular.
Life imprisonment would be appropriate.

I say he should spend the rest of his life in prison; a hard one....But why kill him? Hanging him won't accomplish anything. Two wrong don't make a right...
