I have a Netgear WGT624 wireless router on my home network (Comcast Broadband for my IP). About once a week, my computers will either lose the connection the router, or will not find the router at all. In order to reconnect, all I have to do is unplug the AC adapter from my router, then replug it back in. This is no real big deal, but its more of a hassel.

I thought maybe its a problem with my router, but two days ago my brother told me he has the same exact problem. He has a Linksys WRT54G router (Using ATTYahoo DSL for Broadband). I have no idea why this is happening. My dad has the same router as my brother, and he doesnt have the issue.

Anyone have any ideas before I pull my hair out?

Make sure to check the router option to connect automatically.

It is the first element in the WAN setup options screen.

If that doesn't solve it, make sure both the router and modem are connected to a good regulating power bar.

This said, don't expect industrial quality for 50$.
