i hate to sound mean but they really arent that good, sure they may contend in their division, or to at least make the playoffs, but reality check...spurs, suns, mavs. not to mention the eastern conference...cavs, pistons, heat. but give it some time they might make a run and get some pub on espn, but as far as abc, forget about it unless they are playing one of the aforementioned teams who will draw the ratings.

First of all, Utah doesn't exactly have the most devoted audience. When they couldn't win a title with Stockton and Malone, they're not going to watch Kirilenko and Boozer.
Look at those names, how many people do you think actually knows a Jazz player?
Also it's about big names. Cleveland has the most nationally televised games this season, tying with the Lakers. Guess why? You either need a big name or championship to get air time.

They are not a money market team. Money market teams are teams that have star market players such as Dwayne Wade and Shaq for Miami. Kobe and the Lakers. Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming for Houston. Tim Duncan and Tony Parker for the Spurs. Dirk in Dallas. Nash and Amarie and Marion in Phoenix. Those are just some of the money market teams that have players that do spectacular things. Who on the Jazz can score 81 points on 26 for 42 shooting, including 3 pointers. 16 for 24 from the ft. line. 7 assist, 8 rebounds and 2 steals. Can anybody on the Jazz pass like Steve Nash or dunk like Amaire and Marion. Can anybody make the moves or the shots like a D-Wade or is more powerful than a Shaq.
No!
Basketball is not about Basketball anymore. It is about ENTERTAINMENT. Whatever team makes the network the most money, gets the most air time.
GOD BLESS YOU and take care.

Don't jump the gun they have only played 3 games. Sure they are 3-0 but its way to early in the season to mean anything. If they can make a run at the 96 Bulls record of 70-12 then they will be seeing more coverage but its still early in the NBA season and the NBA doesnt get the ratigns that football games do.

Echoing the previous statements, being from the west you do lose out on publicity because the East coast is going to sleep just when the West coast games are starting up. They also lack the starpower compared to their Western counterparts (Suns, Mavericks, Spurs, Lakers) since Malone and Stockton left. And Salt Lake City is not the big market like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, et cetera, so they will always be at a disadvantage when it comes to media attention.

When you think jazz, one thinks Bird, Ray, Jimmy Hendrick's. Jazz Clubs are in New York, San Francisco, Paris. Utah is not known for equal rights in music or culture. Perhaps if you want to engage in Jazz, take a trip to where it is happening.

Love the Jazz
Not Jerry Sloan, however.
What a dummy to let Raja Bell go to the Suns!
They have certainly gotten off to a great start!

It's because Utah is a small market.
the Jazz are not as marketable or as 'sexy' as other teams such as the Heat, Suns, Mavs, Spurs, Cavs, LAKERS, and so on

Well if you live in the East you dont see them much because there in the West, but in general its because they have no real stars besides AK 47, and they're in Utah so their marketability is low, but a playoff appereance could def. change this
