Okay this is pretty weird but I have these weird white things on my face they arent big or anything but they seem to increase in size if left alone. They usually appear after I shave but are not razor bumps or whiteheads. When I pop them it bleeds and goes away but returns in another spot. There are more on my face but very light and they seem to cluster together. What is it? What can I do?

Just to clarify some peoples responses - it's not just a matter of shaving up or shaving down. You want to shave with the grain. On your face that is usually down, on your neck it may be up or down. Run your hand up and down your neck when you have stubble. One way should be rough and the other smooth. The smooth way is with the grain and you always want to shave that way. Then, after shaving, apply some after shave and you'll be OK.

Ingrown hairs. You must have naturally curly hair. They sell products for people like you in the shaving aisle. It helps to soften the hair (or other way around) so it does not curl under the skin but rather push out to be shaved again.

Also, when you shave...do you shave just on direction...or do you use multiple directions when shaving. I used to get irritation on my lower neck until I started shaving upward after the downward stroke. Now its ok.

It is ingrowen hairs. Usually if you use a moisturizer before and after shaving it can decrease the number. But it may also be your razor. Make sure you use a good one that isn't dull.
