I don't know, they were the best--and don't forget about the women on there too. Ohara and doc baker's assistant-- I have a brother that loved that show so much that he collects stuff like the dolls and books and all kinds of stuff...he grew up watching it and he saw all the movies,,,who could keep a dry eye when Spock died...I meant Lt. Uhura , Nurse Christine Chapel, and yeoman Janice Rand.....

Beam me up, Scotty! Another original fan asking permission to come aboard. I cant get into NG *but I admit DS9 is pretty good*
Gimme Styrofoam rocks, Kirk, Spock, Chekhov, Sulu, Ulhura and Bones anytime
Edit: To appletini: OMG, wasnt the Comedy Central Roast the best. I loved when Bill asked George Takei *Sulu* "When you came out of the closet, did it sound like this?" and he imitated the bridge doors on the Enterprise opening. ROFL

I am not a Trekkie either, but I am an original Star Wars fan. The new stuff just... isn't the same, although it does still have some philosophy behind it.

The problem is that the original was more societal than scientific and people these days prefer science to be just that scientific. I have to admit I like comparing the two approaches to the story and seeing how times changed in what the audiences enjoyed.

I was raised by a TOS trekkie. In addition I liked TNG and the first few seasons of DS9 but that's about it. I never so much as saw a single episode of Enterprise but from what I heard I wouldn't have liked it.

Did you see the William Shatner 'roast' on comedy central? It was SOOOOOOO funny!! Catch it if it's on again!
