The Civil War is a very interesting topic. There are many lessons to be learned.

If you want to learn about a great military hero, read about Stonewall Jackson. In battle, he was never scared. He was strong and very religious. He believed he would die when God planned it. His arm is buried in one grave site and the rest of his body is buried in another.

Brothers fought against brothers. The slavery issue was not the main reason for the war to start, but often that is what people focus on when talking about the war.

Another topic is to look into all the young cadets from VMI who were killed. They were not even finished with school and died on the battleground.

It is sad that you are leaving this to the last minute, and expecting others to help. There is so much to learn about this war.

Did you not have a textbook for the class that maybe has a chapter about the Civil War. Has your teacher not discussed the Civil War in class and given you notes about it? If your teacher just told you to learn as much as possible about the Civil War on your own and let you go, then they're a crappy teacher, but I have a serious doubt that they did that. I'm sure you have much better resources at your disposal than Yahoo! Answers, is it that hard to Google the Civil War?

Find a book in the library and look it up. It's a very big subject and you are very lax to put the onus on to people here instead of helping yourself.
