I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas/sites for affordable, healthy ways to lose about 10 lbs. while breasfeeding (my daughter is a little over 4 months old). I lost all my baby weight but gained it all back! I'd like to find a structured, day-by-day diet that I can follow that won't cost me an arm and leg to follow. I love to cook so preparing my own meals isn't a problem. Thanks in advance!

Exercise for at least half and hour three times a week. I know you are tired but it really helps. Eat when you are hungry but watch your portion size. if you feel like snacking eat one handful of nuts or some carrot sticks. Don't eat ANYTHING from fast food/candy or fried foods. Don't drink any kind of soda EVEN and ESPECIALLY DIET soda. I guarantee you Will lose weight steadily and safely for you and your baby.

There are so many oppitons these days. I have been a yo-yo dieter all my life. I am the mother of 2. When my youngest turned 2 I was able to join a gym and workout at least 3 times a week. I walked daily and eat healthy. LOW FAT - no junk. I went from 210 to 155 in 2 years. I was able to keep the weight off until the 'baby' turned 10. Slowly I put most of the weight back on basically because I stopped exercising.

Here is a helpful site I found :

Remember, it took 9 months to put the weight on. It will take some time to get it off.

Working out is the only thing you need to be doing breastfeeding will also help you loose weight . Eat healthy and drink lots of water. Don't "diet" while breastfeeding !! It will only make your baby unhealthly. If you want to diet, stop breastfeeding.

Becoming a little more active and cutting about 100 calories per day out of your diet could help.

It is not a good idea to go on a diet while nursing. Even though you may feel like you are carrying more weight than you should be, any calories you may lose during your diet, would just take away from critical calories that you baby needs. Please consult a doctor before you make any preparations to diet. It is harmful to your child.
