Menstruation is the shedding of the endometrium when no fertilized egg has implanted.

When someone is pregnant, the lining is NOT shed, and the egg implants into the endometrium.

It is possible to bleed a little bit, usually lighter than a period at the time of implantation. This occurs when the embryo burrows into the lining and a little bit of that lining is released. This is not a menstrual period.

Bleeding during pregnancy is bleeding during pregnancy and should never be considered normal. It is the first symptom of a threatened miscarriage and should always be brought to the attention of an OB.

Yes it is possible, not every woman is the same. Some women have their periods all the way through the whole 9 months.

no. because if you're having your period that means that your egg was NOT fertilized. but i did read that news story last week about the woman who gave birth even though she had no idea she was pregnant (she even had a little bleeding which she though was menstruation). if you're not sure, you could take a test, but i'm sure that you're not.

YES. Many people think not but it is possible especially if your cycle is irregular. Remember the sperm can stay in body for some time after sex.

I've got two daughters. In both cases, mom (my wife) had a period or two after she was PG.
