Men do this a lot i have found.
Sure it is chivalrious, polite and gentlemanly (in most cases)

But what about the actual consequences?
Don't we all need a good slap in the face sometimes?
Don't men trust that women would be cool be that and take it in their stride?

Thanks All.

I find it to be the rule rather than the exception, based on personal observation.

Am i guilty of making a false presupposition here?
I think not.
It is the mainstream mindset i am pointing the criticism at.

No.
Its better that men just do themselves this favor. Cause women seldom forgive and never forget.

Could you add some specifics details please? Please give some examples. Are you talking about a guy in a relationship, "just friends" guys, or co-workers? Are these men non-judgmental to other men as well as to women?

On the whole, I would say that men don't like to have their actions scrutinized by others, and therefore don't like to nit-pick with other people.

Edit: that sounds a little harsh, so let me rephrase. When it comes to self-improvement, men tend to look inward. Women tend to talk and socialize about a lot of things that men just keep to themselves.

they can and do get to lawyers that provide all the intelligence that is necessary to take out the smartest guy in the world. all who tangle end up on the end of the joke that isn't funny in front of a horny old judge drooling at anything with channel no 9 on it. it's only in your dreams do men look any stupider than they do today the rights to have you arrested is in the hands of court advocates to use anyway they want you have to kick the last dog to make me think this isn't an guilt trip just to see where it's going.

well lola, I thk that men know that women are intelligent and some men find that a threat, so rather than admit that the woman might be more intelligent, the man will sometimes put her down and insult her and all of that, then later on he wants sex with her and of course she says NO ( if shes his wife or girlfriend) if shes a stranger I dunno what might happen in that instance ! LOL

Unless there is mutual respect, move on whether it is male or female. What you describe in not acceptable for a relationship, personal or business.

There are worse addictions than the physical chemical ones, for sure. You might want to try a therapist to address those addictions.

Any generalisation is ignorant and condescending.
