I have 5 of those running, i know its something required, but is 5 ? Whats up with that ?

This is the Windows Service Host management program. If you want details of the running services, go take a look in Start->Control Panel->(classic view)->Administrative Tools->Services.

You will have Svchost.exe running, that's normal.

In short, it's a Service Host that handles Dynamic Link Labraries...parts of a program shared by many different applications. Several run at once, because each is actually being used by several different programs/processes.

Yeah, this is normal. svchost is like a generic Windows process that other processes use to do stuff so it's typical to have a load of them running on your machine and I wouldn't worry about it. For instance, my machine's running pretty lean, I don't have any unneccesary applications installed and I've shut down all the Windows Services I don't need and I've still got five of them running at the moment.
