AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! How do you put in a tampon?? :'(, please help me.?

So I'm 12 years old, on my period, aching, pissed off, had to just change my skirt because my freaking period decided to get everywhere and confused. Help me?? I don't know how anyone figured it out, but is there like a booklet, or a class, or just a certain person who can tell me how to put a tampon in?? Pads have been very not-cool for me. Thanks. A LOT. ...and don't make fun of me.

Dont worry too much, its all normal to be confused with those things. I got mine when i was 11 and i had to show myself how to put one in. When you buy a packet of tampons they come with instructions. Use that to guide you through, also make sure your hands have been washed before inserting them and never leave them in overnight.

The little pamphlet in the packet will explain all this. Good Luck!

When you buy the tampons, there is a booklet inside the box that has the instructions. If you buy the kind with the applicator (more common), you:

1. Either sit on the toilet or stand with one leg propped on something. Sitting on the toilet is easier.
2. Grab the tampon between your thumb and middle finger on the grips (check the instructions).
3. Insert it into your vagina until your thumb and middle finger are touching you.
4. Using your forefinger, push in the bottom part of the tampon. This will pull the applicator out of you.
5. Dispose of the applicator. Never flush a plastic one, and if you have sensitive plumbing, don't flush a cardboard one either.

It is a lot easier than it sounds. Take one out of its wrapping and see how it works (they are cheap) before you try inserting one. Be sure to read the instructions about TSS at least once before you use them.

well being so young you should try to use pads if you can maybe switch up the brand that might help. make sure you are relaxed when puting the tampon in. let the tampon go in and up a little since your vagina slants up at an angle. try not putting one up there that is too big or it may hurt. when inserting the tampon push it all the way up until your fingers touch your vagina, then push the the apliclicator into your vagina and let the disposible tube come out leaving the tampon in. tampon boxes also have instructions with pictures if you need more help.

CAUTION!!!!: NEVER LEAVE YOUR TAMPONS IN TOO LONG.....MORE THAN 4-6 HOURS OR YOU MAY GET TOXIC SHOCK SYNDROME WITH CAN CAUSE DEATH!

I am 12 two. Insert the big tube all the way in while holding the small one - put it until your fingers touch you. Then while still holding the big tube, push the small one. It hurts a little bit, but as soon as you pull the whole thing out (the plastic part, not the string!) it doesn't hurt. You shouldn't feel anything at all.

first off dont freak out...there should be a panflet inside the box of tampons explaingin how to use them...second if that doesnt work use this sire http://www.geocities.com/4birthing/insert.html i was your age when i started using tampons...if ur a virgin it'll take some time getting used to but i find it way more comftorable...good luck

I no how you feel i was at school once and i got blood all over my butt because of stupid pads! all you have to do is take the tampon and stickit in your vagina one of my friends thought that you stick it up your butt hole! and then take off the plastic part and put on your underwear then when your ready to take it out pull the string and well ya it is out if that was kind of confusing there is directions in the box.

I had this problem probably for the 1st 3-4 years too =) Sometime squating can help or putting one leg on the toliet & try it. One thing to is just to relax....as hard as it sounds

Put the applicator inside of your vagina until the part of the applicator that is smaller is about to the edge of your vagina. Then push the tip of the applicator until it is almost but not exactly all the way pushed in. it may not go all the way in on your first time but it gets easier.
