She's a punk girl, kind of goth, she loves rock music, she's not into material bullshit, she loves plants and "ghetto" stuff. She's really helped me this semester at school and I want to get her something super special.

I would say if you could get her a tee shirt that is either airbrushed or screenprinted. They range in price between $15-$30. Plus you can personalize it. Make it special just for her. Or you could get her an exotic plant. You can find them all over the web. If you get one that is year round..you be givin a pretty sweet gift!

i would have to know her a little better... but since she likes plants and is not into material stuff, how about a neat little bamboo plant (symolizes good luck), or one of those awesome tiny bonzai trees. or maybe you could make her a funky bag, with all different types of materials... it's the thought that counts.

Try a movie she might enjoy...everyone loves movies. Or go to a store like Hot Topic or Spencers and find something there. Or just get her a plant.

Find out what kind of bands she likes and try to get her tickets, or promise to purchase one of their upcoming CDs. (If she really likes the band, she probably has all their stuff to date.) Forget Hot Topic - they pretty much cater to teenagers. Find some nice clothing stores online and get her something good. You might even want to let her pick it out....www.goodgoth.com has some pretty good stuff.

make her a sewing basket w/all her fav.materials so she can make her clothes as unique as she is.

- patches ( that you think she will like)
- black and red lace
- dark colored buttons
- scrap materials that most stores put in baggies.
- needles and thread
- purple , green ,red , black , navy blue , some pieces of
white.

I like the concert idea. Avoid gift certificates altogether as they not even remotely "special". You could also make her something, maybe a collage of photos from the year, those kinds of things are appreciated by everyone.
