I am a 100% believer in bleed in practice, sweat in battle. I do all kinds of CRAZY workouts ALONE so that when race day comes it seems like a breeze. i practice for my trail races in the city retention basin. Sometimes, it gets flooded. Tough crap, i guess that is a day where I practice my mud\creek running. I put myself between the two most perfumed, talkingest women to learn to block things out. I want to be good and I am hoping all this nonsense helps and I don't just end up exhausted reeking of Estee Lauder.

I hope for the best, know that the worst can happen, but I normally just accept things as they are. I can only change things that are directly related to me, I can not change other people. When the worst happens, I trudge through and come out better. When the best happens, I take a deep breath and I'm thankful for that moment, best doesn't happen that often.

I hope for the best and accept things as they are; I'm not too good at preparing for anything at all these days.

I prepare for the worst, then at least every now & then I get a pleasant surprise. If I hope for the best I'm always disappointed.

I'm not a planner...

I'm afraid I'm not organized enough to prepare (for the worst) or even hope (for the best).

I spend my time putting out fires and trying to keep my head above water.

I always expect the worst (never am really "prepared" for it tho), and if it turns out to be better than the worst, that's a bonus to me.
