1930 - 1940 Germany was very tech savvy and was very good at building their war machine. It started with creating the "soldier makers" campaign, which was forcing young women to breed as quickly as possible to build his troops with strong men. Then, the factory growth turned out tanks, airplanes and all stocks of weapons at record speed. Had Hitler not "shot himself in the foot" by attacking Russia after signing a non-aggression treaty with them, he probably would have taken over Europe entirely.
Oh, and it didn't take USA, England, Canada, Russia, France to bring them down. It only took the U.S. military, some of England and a huge counter-attack from Russia to bring it down. The statistics are crazy... Russia lost something like 5 million citizens in WW2.

Well the Reason is Simply that Hitler was a Military Genius He knew How to Spread His Army out so that He Could fight and be effectively Stronger on Every Front The People Trusted Hitler ,The German Morale was Very High. Plus The Russians Had very Sloppy tactics and Tended to Mass And Charge Positions This was Very ineffective and Caused Many Casualties. France was Taken Over Very Quickly And they Surrendered. Canada only Surrendered a Very small Amount of their Men , USA Didn't get Involved In the War Until 1 year after it Started And it would Have Ended Quicker But You must Remember Japan was Involved So the Americans Had Half Their Army In The pacific And the Rest in Europe So they were Spread out. And Britian Sustained Heavy Damage In the German Bombing of Britian. Overall Hitler was Clever and Took The Offensive Very early in the war I hope you found this Helpful :)

G'day Sciencegeek McKinley,
Thank you for your question.
The Coalition on both sides was broader. Germany had two significant allies in Italy and Japan and a number of minor allies. The USSR was supporting Germany until the invasion of Russia and the USA did not join the allies until it was attacked by Japan in 1941. However, it was giving significant support before that date.
Initially, Germany was fighting the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth, France and Poland. It had been preparing for war for five years whereas the other nations had not. It initially had great success and conquered most of Europe giving it access to significant resources.
It wasn't until the Soviet Union and the US joined the UK and Commonwealth that the tide finally turned. Even then, the Axis had the upper hand on the battlefield until well in 1942.
I have attached sources for your reference.
Regards

Let me turn your question around... if the Germans were so superior, how in the world they ONLY lasted 4 years against everybody ?
Revolutionary and Napoleonic France lasted 10 times more against the rest of Europe and its superior resources that represented all the world... Rome fought 17 years against the Carthaginians and the Greeks on all fronts in the known world THEN , lost many armies and yet prevailed... Genghis Khan picked a fight with everybody he could (no ally outside of the mongol tribes) and ended up forming an empire... even Japan would have resisted a lot more years but the atom bombs pretty much made futile to resist...
Therefore, actually, I am not impressed by the "resistance" of the Germans. It seems that "Der Führer" and the "master race" would not even hold the jock of these proven world conquerors.

because initially it was just England, Canada and France, who were not really prepared for war. Germany had greater mobilized manpower, better training, better officers, better weapons and most important better tactics. it was like three guys with sticks trying to take on a guy with a pump action shotgun. after the french surrender and Dunkirk, it was just the British and Canada. Germany established a strong defensive perimeter, not that Britain was in any position to invade Europe anyway. then that dummy Hitler decided to invade Russia with no winter equipment for his troops and greatly underestimated the capabilities of the Russians and their equipment. i know it's speculation but i think even if the allies had not invaded Europe, the Russians would have beaten Germany.

In the time between WW1 and WW2, Germany use majority of it resources to build a army, and research military wepons. In that time, the other country had problems they was trying to deal with, like the great depression. Alos they was wanting peace. Germany had a huge advantage couse they didn't pay any of they war debts they was forced to sign to pay at end of WW2, so more money for better guns, tanks, subs. Also USA had a two front war on its own with Japan, and couldn't put all its resorces in the front in Eroupe. In truth, it was USA, England, and Russia. France's forces was extremly small, and Canada's was more a british support.

If Hitler had confound his plans to Germany on my own, there in all probability does no longer have been a worldwide conflict II for that reason. a great style of the Jews, Jehovah Witnesses, Gypsies, gays, and so on., would have fled Germany, and delivered up new lives in boarding countries at the same time with France. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, alongside with this thought to freshen up Germany or all its 'scum', Hitler wanted to repair satisfaction interior his usa. After 1918, Germany became crushed via the prevailing allies by using distinctive treaties, maximum rather, the Treaty of Versallies. Germany became in extensive debt, and their foreign places money became properly worth no longer something. for this reason, with the secret militia Hitler had outfitted, he became waiting to invade France, who in the previous sought to overwhelm Germany. via doing this he invaded Poland, which might provide Germany a greater physically powerful boarder of get right of entry to to France. England perceived a hazard, they decleared conflict. some years later u . s . joined in whilst they felt threatened via the events in Europe. It became no longer the Holocaust that led to worldwide conflict II, yet Germanys unacceptable assaults on Europe.

france surrendered (although the resistance played a vital part too)
russia was defending itself from german invasion
canada was a british ally and volunteered to fight
the US only entered the war when Japan bombed pearl harbour and to garner support from allies they sent troops into europe
the german foothold on europe was such that it took so many people to remove them ~ they were also better trained and equipped and had more man power and technology on there side

somehow your question looks stacked there are many other countries that were swallowed up by the Japanese and the Italians in the war and it was a pair of bombs that brought the war to an end and a bad move on the allied that allowed Russians to enter Germany as the conquering hero that all went bad for us here in America after the Russian killed everything they could and continued on doing it till to1980 in Europe
