I love the FACT that genuine liberals (not to be confused with "Democrats") are peace and dignity oriented and do not approve of violence and do not approve of preparations for violence.
By my definition, only about fifteen percent of Americans are genuinely liberal: opposing all forms of punitive and oppressive legislation; opposing the death penalty and supporting strong gun control laws. Only about 15 percent. We all tend to appreciate similars over dissimilars, and I am no exception: I love them most!!

Depends on the person. My best friend is liberal and to me he is a wonderful, caring, thoughtful friend. He is funny and smart.
So it depends on the person as to why I like them or not.

They have an interest in the continuence of civilization and freedom, they are supporters of the most sacred human rights and they care about the planet.

Honestly?
I do love their stance on Marijuana, although again they'd never have the balls to advocate that stance or do anything meaningful about it.

That their compassion, tolerance, and acceptance of others is in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ moreso than any other political idealology.
