What's your favorite family things to do in San Diego for the weekend?

My husband and I are taking our three daughters to San Diego and Sea World this weekend. We love the ocean and this city. But we are unfamiliar with things we can do like restaurants and places of interest that San Diego natives or frequent visitors know. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated since we have not vacationed for five years!!
