You're gas tank sensor is in the normally closed position inside your tank possibly. It could also be a fuse or your ECU unit settings need to be reset. If it's under warranty then return it to the dealer for no charge repair.

It needs to be fixed. I would not try andrew s' answer first. It could be several things. If car is still under warranty, take the car there. If not, it could be a sensor or the gage is stuck. It's not an expensive thing to fix and if you are mechanically inclined, you could do it yourself.

Inside your cars fuel tank is a thing called afuel gadge sensor, If you filled up and it still reads empty the sensor might have burned out. or it's also posible your in dash fuel gadge went bad. to check to see if the fuel gadge is working you have to take the dash apart to expose the fuel gadge, turn on the key and ground the wire going to the sensor, it will either be blk/brn or something like that never ground the red wire. it's usualy positive (hot), while you test ground one side of the gadge if it's working you should see the gadge slowly climb as you hold the groundwire on the gadge. if you see no movement on the gadge it is bad and needs to be replaced. good luck! p.s. always be sure that the wire your going to ground is Not positive try using a test lite. you can get one cheap at any automotive stores.

Either your float is stuck in the empty position or you have a fuse blown or something like that. Go to the place where you bought the car and have them fix it for free under warranty.

It means there is something wrong withe the sending unit or wiring or the gage itself. Take it back to the dealership, should be under warranty.

I'd say it's not working and take it back to the dealer, you have a warranty so they should just fix it. Thank God for those warranty's.

does your fuel tank show a reading when the keys off? if so, it needs
to be reset, just turn the ignition off, then on again, should now show true reading.
