I feel

1) they have a hell of a lot of nerve calling it an original song when they plagiarize,

and

2) it doesn't say much for them as "artists" if they can't come up with original material.

Many celebs are now having children and are probably singing nursery rhymes to their youngsters just as your mother did to you (just in tune).

The marketing side of the individual kicks in and there inevitably comes the question... 'can I make money doing this?'

It would be great to see nursery rhymes sung and produced for charity for those who are less fortunate and I am sure there are those out there who have done that.

Rappers aren't intelligent enough to come up with new stuff, so they use nursery rhymes. It's just proof that people with the mentality of little kids love rap.

I've noticed that recently too... I guess there aren't enough beats for those artists.... But Chain Hang Low is kind of a good song! I guess I'd rather have them copy kids rhythms than other songs.

:)

I don't like it because I associate london bridge with my childhood playing on the yard with all of my cousins and friends and sisters and now its supposed to mean the specific portion of a woman's panties???? the two ideas just don't mix it for me...

Guess it's nothing new. Paul McCartney did it way back in '72 w/ "Mary Had a Little Lamb".
