What do you mean abqdan

I'm a USMC vet. War is a complete pump. The whole lawless feeling of having total control of life and death is a primal excitement.

With out the war America would be in deep doo doo .
I live in an area that has many government jobs in defense contracting and aero space support .East coast Florida by the space port and dozens of spin off related government contractors with high tech positions for engineers and scientists .
This area also gets a fair amount of tourism and cruise line business including a gambling ship .For about 5 years the area boomed with new homes and employment .
It has drooped off along with the prices of homes, that had seen 30% increases over a three year period .Now prices have drooped , the jobs stabilized and no new growth .Soon many of these contracts the government awarded will be completed and new projects will need to be developed or many people will be out on the streets further hurting the housing market .
In order for my area to continue to do well we need more government money to flow in , and this means we need to continue to remain at war and even escalate it if possible .
Generally I oppose war but i need to sell this house and move to another area that has plenty of work for people like me .
Construction workers take it on the chin first and all that big money from the hurricanes and work has slowed to nothing and the housing starts have dried up .
So the work will be someplace else ,like maybe New Orleans .
I have to hope for a war or some kind of tragedy on a mass scale effecting thousands of homes to make a good wage .
In fact all the money I made in the last 5 years has allowed me to be picky about the jobs I take .
I need a disaster or a increased war effort to remain here and still earn the 100,000 a year i am use to .

You are so right! As a teacher, I was taught in university that I had to balance every praise I gave to a male figure with equal praise to a female person. This would often be expected to be accompanied by gushing praise as to how this woman was an extra inspirational character who did well either despite her being female, or (and this is more common) because of how she succeded in a man's world, with the constant implication that men tried too keep her down. Look closely, and you will see that many esteemed female figures are esteemed by devaluing men. This does no credit to the accomplishments of the woman, and denigrates the men too. Good question, and I consider the lack of encouragement of men and boys to be a societal issue, especially when research shows that girlss receive often more than twice the positive affirmation in childhood than boys.

I am not convinced by the way your question is written, but I am pro Iraq war, I believe all people should have the right to decide for themselves how to live.

Too many people who take their freedom of speech for granted would deny Iraqi's and many other countries people the same rights that they so obviously take for granted themselves.

Many people are pro Iraqi war, they just keep their opinions to themselves and don't feel the necessity to go off on a march to grab a few headlines for the papers who lets face it are anti-war.

I don't think its pro war, i think you are anti terrorist. Anyone who doesn't see the Iranian plan for Iraq and Saudi Arabia is just plain stupid. If we fail in Irag, we wil fight the Iraians later and that will require much more effort and blood. Not to mention an Iranain nuclear capability. Imagine if you will the worlds oil supply at the hands of these nuts in Iran.

You are in the minority. Most of us are able to spell the word 'expansion', and many of the rest of us know how to use the spell checker.

Your sarcasm is cheap and your vitriol exudes between every letter. Typical intolerant liberal. Can you never extend the possibility that an opposing view might be valid?

You were always in a minority. No-one loves war, though big business enjoys the profits from it. Perhaps you'd like to join up and go over there yourself - see how much fun it is up close?

Yes, but who cares about being politically correct? If that is how you feel no problem, I wish we didn't have to fight the terrorists to make this world safer but the sad fact is we do.

You always were in the minority, unless you work at the White House.
