You should always consult with your OB/GYN before and during conception. Your OB/GYN will be able to give you a complete physical with regards to the health of your reproductive system. Typically, it takes couples about a year to conceive naturally (especially if you had been on some form of birth control other than condoms).

The vast, vast majority of couples who have sex regularly get pregnant within a maximum of two years, so one is generally considered "infertile" if it doesn't happen for them within that time frame. Most doctors will put it at a year instead.
No one (including doctors) can give you a definitive answer that you *can* get pregnant, although tests may show that you *cannot* get pregnant. That's a little confusing but basically some people test perfectly fine and it seems like they should be able to get pregnant, but they don't even after trying for a year or two. Couples in this situation would definitely be considered infertile -- they have "unexplained infertility".
If you are over 35 you should not try on your own for more than 6 months before seeking medical intervention.

Here is some unrelated information for you about pregnancy. The baby takes Minerals from your body so that it can grow (you should take som folic acid ,ask at health store )and that is why you would require more Minerals or have food cravings.
be careful about prescription medications will you are preganent because thy can effect brain and body chemistry. The best advice that i can give is for you to nutritionally support the health of your very own body. get this audio tape about minerals called "dead doctors don't lie" call 1800-982-3189 , it also talks about a mineral that you would need and should take if you were trying to conceive. I my self am very active in health care and i do not recommend Chlomiphene as most of these types of prescription medications can possibly cause a baby to be born with birth defects. In my opinion I would not suggest or recommend conventional treatments, there are alternative approaches that can be taken.. Here is some information for you about health. Drink clean bottled water , include MINERALS in your diet (the sports one is flavored or else i think that there are others that are flavored) AND EFA dietary supplements from a company called American Longevity, phone#1-800-982-3189 2400 Boswell Road, chula vista, California 91914 be careful about the amount of the mineral supplement do not exceed more then one tablespoon a day,Vitamins, the vitamin product that i use is called E 7 (essential seven.) the telephone number is 1(888) 737-7307 i would take only one half of one scoop a day . If you do some study about what exactly it is that all of these different vitamins and minerals PURPOSE INSIDE OUR BODY'S is you will probably figure out that they can help to elevate ALMOST all symptoms of ill health, there is a audio tape about minerals called "dead doctors don't lie" call 1800-982-3189 to order.
. . My hope is that you are a saved person, the bible says "we are loved by god with an everlasting love"(Jeremiah 5:8), you can go to http://www.bellevue.org and you can watch sermons live if you want

Many of the people who have discussed pregnancy ahve stated that IF you can't AFFORD to get pregannt, and
IFyou don't WANT to get pregnant, and
IF you don't PLAN to get pregnant, and
IF your Significant Male is some sort of moron,
THEN pregnancy is almost inevitable.
If you want a serious answer, go to a person with a valid medical degree and/or license.

Only a doctor would be able to tell you "for sure" that you are unable to get pregnant -- and even they have been known to be wrong.
Honestly, there could be a million reasons why you've been unable to get pregnant: to much stress, low sperm count, etc., etc., etc.
Go in and talk to your doctor. He/She will run some tests on you to see if there is a biological reason as to why you've been unable to succeed.

Go to a doctor, probably a gynecologist. The only other way to know if you CAN get pregnant...is to get pregnant. They have tests and stuff.

Easy. Look down. See two boobs? Yes? Good start. Look further. See a long protruding appendage? No? You might just be able to get pregnant.
