Two good books I suggest: A.D. and Battle Neverending by Saab Lofton. Lofton is a Militant, political cartoonist, Teacher, and Former Gaurdian Angel. He was able to get the publishing paid for the book A.D. by Howard Zinn himself. He is very knowledgable on History, politics, and religion as well as grassroots work.
