About 6 months ago, I had a roommate move in, and they were added to the lease. Problem is that this roommate turns out to never pay the rent or agreed utilities on time. There is not written agreement.

What recourse do i have, if the person refuses to pay on time? or am i stuck until the end of lease covering the roommate to avoid impact to my credit and rating with the landlord?

If you had a written agreement you could go to court, but you do not, so I would advise you to find some legal advice
