If my mother expressed a desire to live another year and my kidney could serve as a donor kidney, I would give it to her. No point in my being selfish. If she expressed that she did not want to continue living, then I would not bother to give her the kidney, but I would try to make the rest of her days as comfortable and happy as possible (under the given circumstances). I would do it for any member of my family that was in need. If I can help someone else, that is what I will do without hesitating.

Hell yes. I've lost a parent already and I'm only 25. I would do anything I possibly could to keep my mother alive. Who knows. Maybe your kidney would help her last a few years. Everyone is different and she may live longer than expected. You can survive with one kidney you know. Isn't that incentive enough to give a kidney?

Wow this sounds like a very hard decision you need to make. I would give my mom my kidney. She is the best mom in the world and I would love to keep her around as long as i could. I would also take her thoughts into consideration though. Will she be in pain while she is here? Those are things to think about.

Still would she lives thru my eyes.....it is sad that they did not know up until the very end that that was the reason that she was dying........or else i WOULD have!!!!! They NEVER checked even though she had all the symptoms and great insurance.......watchword of the day: DO NOT go to the doctors in las vegas if you are really ill.

Of course i'd give it to her. She gave me life... giving her a kidney isn't a big deal.
Maybe it'll only extend her life another year, but that would be a year the family wouldn't have her otherwise. And who knows, maybe an extra year is enough time for doctors to come up with a better treatment or drug.

It depends :
-If my mother wants to prolong her life for another year, for all the good reasons, then yes, if I was a match, I sure would give her one of my kidneys.
-If my mom choses to not do the utmost to stay alive (given the fact she KNOWS she's gonna die within a year anyway), I would respect her wish. (however hard that would be)

think of roughly this entire subject in yet another mild...or a minimum of attempt to. What if it replaced into YOUR mom that mandatory a kidney and you have been a experience for her. might you be so selfless as to donate one in all your sturdy kidneys to assist shop her alive? might you hear on your boyfriend if he suggested "i do no longer help you do this"? i will understand your fears....yet your boyfriend is unlikely into this blind. The wellness care professional doing his mom's surgery ought to have completely counseled him of each and every thing which will and ought to happen. He is familiar with the troubles that could upward thrust up, he's familiar with the opportunities of the destiny and he would be schooled interior the the form to eat and drink with the intention to get the main suitable use of his ultimate kidney for something of his existence. i think of you need to provide severe theory to the certainty that this guy is doing the form of selfless, unswerving and loving act. This guy is a individual you need to be finding at in an quite distinctive mild than what you're good now. he's uncommon in immediately's worldwide. maximum might basically say screw mom, i'm no longer risking something for her. he's eighteen, youthful and clearly healthful, or they does no longer even evaluate doing the form of severe situation as removing one kidney from him. This operation is accomplished many cases an afternoon via distinctive docs worldwide extensive. or maybe worse yet, sixteen human beings die daily because of the fact they could't get a kidney transplant. He loves his mom, is keen to bypass to assist her in what she needless to say needs. He is familiar with what he's moving into with the surgery and continueing aftercare and healthful way of existence he will ought to maintain afterwards. i do no longer think of your recommendations will exchange his recommendations, because of the fact his determination has no longer been made interior the blink of an eye fixed. i'm hoping the surgery is going nicely and the two him and his mom pop out doing wonderful. God bless them the two.

Sigh. Of course I'd give it to her. I mean, she's not my favorite gal, but she did raise me. But, that's not saying a lot, cuz I 'd even give a kidney for a friend .
