I got to know a bunch of new friends in college, but lately I realized that we can't get along. What should I do? I mean I'm afraid that when I leave them, I won't find somebody else and will be all alone again, but still if I decide to stay with them, we are not comfortable because we are not the same type, what do you think?

Maybe if they are mean to you, you should find some new, different friends. I know how that is trust me!! Just try and focus on your schoolwork!

I've been in that situation, and it's all about being flexible and hanging out with different people.
It took me untill mid year to find a group i really clicked with, but in the meantime, just go with the flow.
Go to the college bar for a few drinks when everyone else does, mingle with everyone. Check out what activities people are going to on the weekend, and go along to one you like.
Eventually you will find a great bunch of friends, just give it time.

It is very exciting to meet new people, but people that have common interests that you have.If these people are not what you want, then stop hanging around with them. Do not be afraid that you will be alone. You have to get out there and start being friendly with people, take time to stop and get in idle chatter.. There are tons of people just waiting for someone to say hello to them ... step out and take a chance..get rid of those other friends... and find some new ones...

Some people just don't click. Go ahead and move on. You don't have to have someone with you every second of every day. You will find someone that you will click with eventually. Learn to be comfortable by yourself and then it won't be as important to be part of a group. Your new friend might be looking for you this very minute. Good Luck

DONT leave them. bfore u dump them (if u want to) look around for a new friend, but dont talk to them much, i mean if its work then ya u can. once u find the perfect freind go ahead and dump ur old ones. and remember being alone isnt bad sooner or later someone will come up and be good friends with u.

Dont worry so much about it. You're in college. At that piont in peoples lives, friends come and go. When your done college you will find a whole network of new friends.
