What is a typical fee for attorneys for a car accident? Does 2/3 sound fair? Thats what I'm being charged. This is in Kentucky if that helps?

Certainly not more than 40%. 2/3 = you're a sucker.

Yowser, absolutely not fair! The attorney's share in a personal injury suit should be about 1/3. It sounds like they're charging you all sorts of extra things to bulk up their bill. Did you have expert testimony or have to fly someone in or something?

NOT FAIR. You can negotiate anything and if you've signed with him then your stuck, but if you haven't tell him he can take 40% MAX or leave it. That's the standard nationally, but there ar ea lot of variations.

Lawyers will usually take 1/3 of whatever they recover for you.

I think you misread your agreement.

Standard for personal injury is 1/3.
