I think it is good for a government who is trying to make it somehow okay for them to use torture and further disregard Geneva conventions. Why not desensitize the general public to torture by over exaggerating it so when all you do is merely whip real people and lock them in a virtual oven and never give them any idea of why you arrested them or if they will ever get a trial, it won't seem as bad as what happened to those movie characters? It's just the same a when we blow off what is happening in the middle east as 'old news'. I never saw those movies because I think glorifying violence of that kind for entertainments sake is just another way to prove that civilization is no longer very civilized.

Gross, I watched a clip of Saw 3 on the internet and I almost puked! It was the part where the boars or pigs or whatever they were, were being dumped into the saw and the guts were being used to drown the man. I don't like to see people tortured..

There does seem to be a growing trend to show 'torture' movies....
Saw, Hostel, etc.
I feel that within 5 to 10 years from now, they will show snuff films in mainstream theaters.

I wouldn't call it entertainment as such. More like attracting someones attention. I've seen it and it's very gruesome! Sure got my attention!!

very good ... just want to see if they will make the forthand what will happen, but 3 was good as the 2 main characters die which was unexpected.

uhhhh....its been that way for a long time....i thought it was ok, but i wouldnt have felt deprived had i waited for the dvd
