I'm trying to get pregnant and I wanted to know if anyone is aware if having orgasms can help or hinder it?
Silly question I know, please only serious or silly answers back, no rude answers. Thanks.

Yes there is a link. When you orgasm, it causes the cervix to open and close allowing semen to come in or "sucking" it up. When you orgasm at the same time your partner orgasms, it increases your chances of concieving.

Orgasms can definitely have an impact on whether or not you get pregnant. The muscles spasms from the orgasm help move the sperm in the right direction, increasing the number and duration of time that they are able to fertilize....so Go Big O!

I'm not so sure on either side of this orgasm question. People get pregnant when they have them, people get pregnant when they dont. I dont think it makes a difference honestly. If your gonna get pregnant you are, it comes down to that. As long as he orgasms.. you are doing great! Best Wishes.
and to the person who said stand on your head and take it all in... I hope you're kidding. That would be sad if you honestly believed that works.
Good luck sweetheart!

Orgasm might help since the muscles contract in such a way as to pull the semen upward towards the cervix. Naturally, pregnancy can easily happen without it, but it does seem designed to facilitate getting the sperm moving in the right direction!

Hi hon! Your orgasm has nothing to do with your or your husband's fertility. If you are having problems conceiving you may want to try a ovulation predictor, and there are also different postions that help support that as well! Hope this helps! -Janet

Not a silly question at all!
The best I can remember is that the actual fluid helps the flow of sperm to the uterus.
I think the contractions help, too.

Well...there is no link...sperm will swim up those walls to get to the ovary no matter what...an orgasm has no effect on the sperms motility....just stay well lubricated and you'll be alright...have fun trying

there is a multitude of ways to look at this. technically no YOUr orgasm doesnt really have any affect as long as your spouse/mate/watever has good enough orgasms. however, if you have to do it,..might as well have fun.....

No. The only orgasm required is that of the male participant....

No. There is no truth to this at all. I got pregnant without having them, and have gotten pregnant with having them.
