Dog washing/walking, nail trimming, grooming, etc., etc., anything that can be done cheaply that people don't really want to do themselves.

There's the usual fund raisers like silent auctions, bake sales, raffles and duck races, (not live ducks of course.) It's a lot of work, but if you have volunteers to help you can do a dance benefit. It's not unheard of for shelters to raise thousands of dollars from this event. Or publish a calendar with the photos of animals that were adopted with little happy ending stories, sell the calendars to help raise some $$$.

My sister who lives in Austin rasied money for an animal shelter by having a yard sale, bake sale and a "walk for the animals" walk...She said she raised a little over 5,000..That's all I can give you right now..She goes to a church and that's how the yard sale went really well..Go to a few churches and explain and they will be more than willing to volenteer for almost anything that's good :D

Ask people to donate cans and bottles & Collect donations to have a huge tag sale. Also the old fashion way...go door to door with pics of needy pets...real heart breaker. Oh and use internet classifieds such as ebay want it now to ask for donations like free food and coupons.This way you keep the cost of raising money down. BOL

A bake sale (maybe have cookies shaped like kittens and puppies)
A dog wash
Publish pet photos for a small fee
Take pet photos and offer to dress them up in cute accessories
Sell ID tags

Bake sale but make pet goodies also, dog wash instead of car wash. Also go to surepets.com they are the Avon of pet supplies and they offer fund raising ideas.

U can put up signs for donations there or u can give out fliers/maybe even give them to other people to hand out thats all i could think of.
