As you can see I LOVE books that are fantasy and also LOVE romance[twilight, new moon..those are my fav.books]. I have read much fantasy and am looking for more romance novels. I prefer young adult[YA] romance books. I love romance like in twilight by stephenie meyer and the romance in a certain slant of light. I dont like adult fantasy.Im only 13.. so i like, stuff like HP[harry potter] etc. Im loking in to the series of unfortunate events?

There are several books in the giver series so you might want to read those as well.

If you haven't already read it you may enjoy Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold or Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin or Everlost by Neal Shusterman.

A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray (and the sequel Rebel Angels)

Uglies trilogy by Scott Westerfeld (Uglies, Pretties, Specials)

For YA romance I suggest Sarah Dessen. Her books are so wonderful! My personal favorite is The Truth About Forever. But other books (all good) include Keeping the Moon, That Summer, This Lullaby, Dreamland, Someone Like You, Just Listen. I've read all but Dreamland.

I'd also recommend
Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister by Gregory Maguire (an adult book but easily accessible to young adult readers since it is a retelling of Cinderella)
Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine
Beauty by Robin McKinley
Spindle's End by Robin McKinley

I agree with whoever already mentioned Sarah Dessen-she's a really great YA romance author. Also agree the Beauty by Robin McKinley is good. You might try The Blue Sword-Robin McKinley, it is probably my fave of her books. Also:
The Outlaws of Sherwood-Robin McKinley
Avalon High-Meg Cabot (it has to do with King Arthur, it's got some fantasy type stuff and also has romance-it's really good)
The Goose Girl-Shannon Hale
The Thief, The Queen of Attolia and The King of Attolia (they go in that order) by Megan Whalen Turner
Wolf Tower-Tanith Lee (excellent fantasy/romance, there's more after it but I haven't read them yet)
The Squires Tales a series by Gerald Morris
Try anything by Tamora Pierce, she's a really great fantasy writer and most all of her books have romance.
Airborn and it's sequel Skybreaker by Kenneth Oppel, both excellent books, though I liked the first best.
Snowfall-K. M. Peyton (no fantasy, just romance, however it will make you cry)
Crown Duel and Court Duel by Sherwood Smith, my favorite ever!
The Ruby in the Smoke, The Shadow in the North, The Tiger in the Well, and The Tin Princess by Phillip Pullman in that order, very very good books.
That's all I can think of right now, I hope those help some!!! Happy reading!!!

The Earthsea series is good. It garners many comparisons to Harry Potter, even though Earthsea came out way before HP. Ursula LeGuin, starts with A Wizard of Earthsea.
Can't go wrong with Narnia.

When you finish "The Giver" go on to "Gathering Blue" and then "Messenger." You definately want to read Lowry's whole dystopia trilogy. After that, check out Lloyd Alexander's "Prydain" series. And there's always the classics of Lewis Carroll's Wonderland and L. Frank Baum's Oz.

Search for the Sun has a 16 year old hero. He has to solve a murder.

Too Young a King has an eleven-year-old king being targeted by assassins. His 14 year old sister isn't exactly helpful.
