CAN she drain anything through his liquid metal outer integuement...? That hasn't been established. There are only a couple possibilities.

1) Rogue can actually drain at touch range; it is psionic, and the touch limitation is just a psychological limit of which she is not aware.

2) Rogue actually draws some cells o.s.l.t. from the skin of her victim, which her power has to take time to duplicate (hey! she COULD be Mystique's daughter...!) and replicate the power in her.

Has Rogue, for example, been able to duplicate the powers of Colossus, for example...? when he was already in his metallized form, or before he changed...? Has she been able to duplicate the powers of Madison Jeffries, for example..? If she can absorb thier powers when they are in their metallic forms, then she could probably drain Captain Atom.

But if she can't drain, say, the intellectual powers of Tony Stark THROUGH his Iron Man (inorganic!) suit of armor, then there is no reason to think that she would be able to drain Captain Atom's powers through his coating of x-ionized metal.

Y'know, he's not a bad looking guy, and if she realized that here was a man she could touch without draining the life out of him, I think she'd stop fighting right there and apologise and offer to be friends. She's NOT stupid, after all...! Just because she has a thing for Remy doesn't mean that she wouldn't be practical when, um, time came to push. Fly united, and all that jazz.
