You may have to resort to RAID 1-2 or 4, and strippng them, I use it for my servers and webpages and true the drive leters are endless are they physical or logical or virtual drives.

And can your system handle them, or are you using a server case with a 500-600 watt power source, first decide what the drives will mean and be used for and the determine if the sytsem is large enough to handle them and the mapping is an easier decision.

well there is actually no limit, if you include phisical and virtual drives like network drives, as the drives usually show up as //drive/directories... But its a really tricky question.
