It is a horrible thing. The biggest reason: Many people are made naturally uncomfortable by homosexuality. Because of this uncomfortableness, and because thousands of years ago it would have been exceptionally strange (if people aren't attracted to the right sex, then reproduction becomes an issue). In order to justify this uncomfortableness (unfortunately ranging to hatred among many idiots), people decided that it is against their religious beliefs. It is surprisingly easy to claim that the bible is against a tremendous number of things, because it is so open to interpretation, and so vague. In short, people manipulate what is written in the bible to gain power and influence, as well as to justify their arguments. (Try and tell me the pope isn't political!!!???)

I think there is a lot of stuff on T.V that is very exaggerated. Sure, some people hate gays, some people hate white people, some people hate Mexicans, but it's not a huge big deal where people are getting persecuted and tortured everyday, or something. You can't help that small percentage of prejudice, but it is a small percentage. I think people misconstrue hate with disapproval. I don't approve of that kind of lifestyle, by my religion it is a major sin, but I don't hate people who choose to live that way and I would never persecute them. I really don't think that it is that big of a deal. They have the right to be gay, I have the right to disapprove, just like they could disapprove of my lifestyle, who really cares. I really wish people would stop whining about how persecuted they are, everyone is judged by something or another in their lives, it's a part of deciding if what you believe in is worth fighting for or not.

i don't really know... i mean, i don't hate people, though sometimes i hate their actions.... and although the Bible says that marriage should be between a man and a woman, God would not HATE anyone for being gay, but that also does not mean that he agrees with it... see i'm not gay and i don't know really much about the whole gay topic, so i try to keep myself neutral and trust that God knows what's right and wrong...

Evidently you haven't read the Bible. God is not only about Love, but He does love us. He wants us to follow His will so we don't go to hell. It's a choice we are given.- to be His or not. The Bible is INSPIRED by God

God (spelled with a capital G and only one d) is a loving AND just God... hence - He will issue consequences for not abiding by His laws... and it's not the sinner but the sin that is hated. =)

People are stupid period! If they really knew the word of GOD they would really know what love is! Why is it that you care about what people think or say about you! All you have to do is love yourself and that is all that matters!

God loves the sinner but not the sin, He loves all people but does not want them to remain sinning knowingly.
